Matthew Mishory

CEO & Chief Creative

Director Matthew Mishory was named a “rising talent” by Variety and a “poetic filmmaker” whose feature documentary work has established his own “genre of historical narratives” (Film Threat). He brings over a decade of experience in both long-form storytelling and top-tier commercial and brand content to his new agency, Rubber Ring Creative.

As a commercial director, Matthew shot the “Powerful Performance” campaign for TCL, starring NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. It was featured on the 2019 Super Bowl broadcast. He teamed up again with Antetokounmpo for the 2021 “Enjoy More” campaign. Matthew has also directed (in Los Cabos, Mexico) a surf campaign with pro surfer Tia Blanco as well as television and digital spots for brands such as Turkish Airlines, Pfizer, and Icelandic Glacial.

His theatrical and television feature films include Mosolov’s Suitcase (2026), Fioretta (2023), Who Are the Marcuses? (2022), No Place of Exile (2018), Absent (2015), and Joshua Tree, 1951 (2013). Matthew’s early short film, Delphinium, about artist Derek Jarman, was selected for the British Film Institute’s National Film Archive and presented at the Tate Museum. Matthew splits his time between Santa Monica and New York City. When he’s not on set, he can usually be found surfing or collecting jazz and punk rock LPs.
